NYC Restaurant stops accepting Cash
So my money says “Legal tender for all debts public and private”. I don’t carry a lot of cash personally, but it boggles the mind that a upscale restaurant wouldn’t take it. Honestly my view is that they are probably worried about being robbed, etc… On the other hand they may be trying to attract upscale clientele, but the line that bothered me the most was (paraphrased) “If you don’t have a debit or credit card, you probably cannot afford to eat here”. That is pretty arrogant/elitist if you ask me.
